Mike Shelah will be our featured speaker on September 20. In 2011, Mike began sharing his expertise with audiences across Maryland. In 2015, he founded Mike Shelah Consulting to work directly with sales professionals and business leaders. When Mike is not busy blogging, coaching, or selling, he is a passionate advocate and volunteer in the community he calls home: Westminster, Maryland.

"Bake The Cake" or "Sales For Non-Sales People"

This presentation is designed to help all business professionals increase their sales skills. You will learn real tactics to apply immediately, to schedule more meetings and properly move them through your sales process, while aligning it with the customer's buying and decision processes. (Yes, you read that correctly; three processes to master. You get it all here.)

COMMUNITY DONATIONS:
One of the unique features of BWN is that we are ACTIVE supporters of our Howard County community. Not only do our members support each other as women in the business world, but we also harness the collective power of our membership to support the vital service work of various local organizations.

This month help us support Bra-la-la's Annual Pink Night and Bra Stretch. Pink Night, their signature event was created to spread breast cancer awareness and to benefit organizations like The Red Devils and The Breast Center of Howard County Hospital. Pink Night is Friday, October 6th. Both Bra-la-la and the Pink Night event are located at 8180 Maple Lawn Boulevard, Fulton MD 20759.

During our September 20 meeting, we will be collecting new and gently used bras for the Bra Stretch, which will then be donated to Success In Style. Please bring out your bras!

BWN began in 1979 as 'The Women's Network' with the goal of providing an informal networking setting for women. In 1992, the group refocused to provide a more formal networking organization and incorporated in November of that year.

A volunteer board of directors runs BWN, which has nearly 200 members representing large and small businesses, non-profits, government and private organizations. Although most members live or work in Howard County, individuals from all over the Baltimore/ Washington Corridor area attend monthly meetings.
