BIOGRAPHIES:

Laura Bacon has the talent to create spaces where people can show up as the best version of themselves. Her life and work center on community building. For 14 years, Laura has channeled that through her work in education. Laura has also worked as company manager in theaters, an artists' manager at an opera, a mentor teacher, and most recently she settled into my passion, entrepreneurship and community building. My talent is in putting all the right people in a space to make something special.

Buffy Beaudoin-Schwartz is President of her own firm BBS Consulting, working with foundations, nonprofits and political campaigns and is currently serving as the first Executive Director of the Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County, having been an original founder 19 years ago, and a past Advisory Board Chair. She is a co-author of Women & Philanthropy: Boldly Shaping a Better World, has been named one of Maryland's Top 100 Women in 2003, 2008 and 2010, an "Innovator of the Year" in 2004 by The Daily Record, one of "40 Under 40" in 2004 by the Baltimore Business Journal, and is a 2019 Inductee into the Howard County Women’s Hall of Fame. Buffy has a BA in Russian History from the University of Maryland and has lived in Howard County for over 30 years. She and her husband Howard have four children and two granddaughters.

Kashonna Holland is a keynote speaker, an inspiring coach, a motivational author, and an insightful corporate trainer. Kashonna is the President & CEO of Simply Kashonna, a business built to promote BOLD, FEARLESS and COURAGEOUS living. She goes beyond surface issues to address the pink elephants that inhibit personal, professional and spiritual potential.

Corporately, she has held positions in both Human Resources, as well as the Staffing industry. Additionally, Kashonna spent years in an executive pastoral role where crisis intervention and spiritual guidance were her primary responsibilities. Kashonna launched SK Leading Forward, which is dedicated to enhancing employee engagement, performance, productivity and morale.

Kashonna is also the author of 7 Days to Simply Shift: A Daily Guide to Transforming Your Mindset Personally, Professionally and Spiritually. Kashonna is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and Association for Talent Development. She also serves her community on the Board to Promote Self-Sufficiency and the Commission for Women.

Morgan Simonet is a Maryland native who began working at the Howard County Chamber of Commerce as their Director of Membership and External Affairs during the Fall of 2020, after three years at Baltimore City’s, Destination Marketing Organization, Visit Baltimore. Morgan builds and maintains member relationships and strategic partnerships that support the Howard County businesses community. Morgan is a graduate of East Carolina University where she received a B.S. in Hospitality Management and a Minor in Business Administration. During her free time she enjoys spending time with her nieces at the beach, hiking, and cooking new recipes.

Zaching Against Cancer

Through the Zaching Against Cancer Foundation, we hope to further spread support and strength to others battling cancer and all those connected to cancer patients. The foundation was established to provide support to cancer patients and their support networks through scholarships, research and direct patient outreach. Money raised by ZACF goes towards The Little Things Program, scholarships, an internship and donations to cancer research and outreach organizations.
