Topic: A Journey Toward Equity 

A conversation about how Horizon Foundation is advancing equity within Howard County

There will be a question and answer period after presentation for this event.


Biography:

At the Horizon Foundation, Kenitra directs their equity initiative, managing a collaborative of equity grantees and helping to integrate equity strategies into all of the Foundation programs. Kenitra has over a decade of experience managing public health programs and grantees, cultivating partnerships and providing training and support to a wide array of stakeholders. Kenitra is proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  She holds a master’s in public health and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Florida A&M University. She enjoys spendiing time with her husband Maisonobe and their two children, Cassie and Maison.

Champions Against Cancer's goal is to provide financial assistance, support, strength and inspiration to children who have a parent or full-time caregiver who had or has cancer through community outreach; educational material about the causes and prevention of cancer; information about support networks available in Howard County and beyond.The mission is to help children maintain a sense of normalcy as their family faces the many challenges of fighting the disease.
