DANCING WITH THE DEVIL:
Why -and how- most small businesses need to pay for Google leads.
Speakers: Duane Carey and Terri Hesse from IMPACT Marketing
There are two universal truths when it comes to generating new business via Google: 1) SEO, or being found organically in Google searches, is rarely effective for small businesses seeking consistent lead flow, and 2) paying Google for leads can be very fruitful, but it’s expensive and complicated. We will show you how to efficiently navigate this great tool, even if it is a “necessary evil.”
Duane Carey is the owner and lead strategist of IMPACT Marketing & Public Relations. Active in Howard County’s business community, he served 8 years on the Board of Directors of the Howard County Chamber of commerce, including a stint as Board Chair, and was named the Chamber’s Business Person of the Year in 2014. With an MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins University, Duane appreciates digital marketing’s ability to track, measure, and calculate return-on-investment.
Terri Hesse is a proud “technology geek,” Terri is IMPACT’s expert on all things digital. She manages the tasks that elevate our clients’ online marketing efforts, including website development, search engine optimization (SEO), keyword analysis, and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns, to name a few. Terri has been managing IMPACT clients’ PPC accounts for over a decade, and holds multiple digital marketing certifications, including the Google Ads Certification, which recognizes her as an expert in online advertising. Terri hold an M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.
