Two of our very own successful BWN members will present their insights, experiences and inspirational business stories. This interactive presentation will address topics such as self-leadership, the importance of grit and other tips to help you be more successful in your business. You will leave with at least 4 business tips from their combined 20 years of experience.
April Force Pardoe is owner of April Force Pardoe Interiors. She is an award-winning interior designer in the Baltimore-Washington D.C. area; offering full-service interior design, from concept to completion. The company is affiliated with some of the area’s most prestigious home improvement professionals and artists who work collaboratively to enhance every client project. April earned the prestigious Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer (AKBD) certification from the National Kitchen and Bath Association, the nation’s premier association for design professionals. One of her master bathroom projects won the 2017 Chrysalis Award for Remodeling Excellence for best bathroom remodel for the North region.
Karen Pitsley is owner and principal architect of Transforming Architecture. Her system of “Custom Designs. Flat Fees.” provides clients a clear understanding of the services provided and costs when hiring an architect. Her expertise in home design and Aging-in-Place design has made her firm one of the top in Howard County and surrounding areas. Karen is a graduate of the School of Architecture, University of Maryland College Park, Leadership Howard County, World Legacy Leadership Program, and the Landmark Forum. She was named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women of 2011, 2013 and 2015, one of Maryland’s top MBEs in 2014, and BWN’s Woman of Distinction in 2012.

One of the unique features of BWN is that we are ACTIVE supporters of our Howard County community. Not only do our members support each other as women in the business world, but we also harness the collective power of our membership to support the vital service work of various local organizations -- every month.
During our September 26 meeting, we will be collecting new or clean, gently-used bras for SIS clients. BWN member Christy Edwards will provide tax receipts at the meeting.
