Women of Distinction

In selecting the honoree of the WoD award, applicants are judged on the following criteria.

• Has contributed to the development of women in business
• Has fulfilled a commitment to the advancement of women’s business ownership or the advancement of women in business and/or the professions
• Has actively participated in supporting the future of businesswomen in the region
• Directly impacts or is a strong role model inspiring women to pursue opportunities in business
• Demonstrates innovative and inspirational leadership on behalf of women business owners and their companies and assists women in reaching their full leadership potential
• Demonstrates excellence, creativity and initiative in her business or profession, but also contributes to the success of other entrepreneurs
• Provides a valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community
