Don't miss our February presentation, when Claudio Toyama will introduce the latest research on the number one driver of motivation (tip, it's not money). Additionally, Claudio will explain how our brains are wired to avoid change and the steps you can take immediately to reach for a bigger goal. Claudio Toyama is a business coach and customer experience consultant. Claudio works with clients on leadership, innovation and entrepreneurship in the US, the UK and Brazil. He is currently an official TED Fellows coach (TED talks) and Toastmasters' Area 55 Governor. Claudio was a volunteer coach for Leadership Essentials Howard County. He has lived and worked in 5 different countries in 4 continents and currently lives in Columbia, MD with his wife.

BWN began in 1979 as 'The Women's Network' with the goal of providing an informal networking setting for women. In 1992, the group refocused to provide a more formal networking organization and incorporated in November of that year.

A volunteer board of directors runs BWN, which has nearly 200 members representing large and small businesses, non-profits, government and private organizations. Although most members live or work in Howard County, individuals from all over the Baltimore/ Washington Corridor area attend monthly meetings.
